Wayzata Depot and Railroad Museum
The Great Northern Depot in Wayzata, Minnesota was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1906 and is one of the city’s most popular gathering places for picnics, summertime music concerts or just enjoying the views. Located at 402 Lake Street East along the shoreline of Wayzata Bay, you can watch the arrival and departure of the restored streetcar boat, The Minnehaha, or sailboats sailing in and out of the bay. Residents and visitors enjoy the scenery around Lake Minnetonka relaxing on the depot dock benches.

The Wayzata Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and houses the offices and museum of the Wayzata Historical Society and the Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.

Inspired by vintage-style travel/national park posters of the 1930’s, Rich is working on a collection of original graphic poster art illustration showcasing current and historical Lake Minnetonka and beyond.
